“You Will Never Succeed. Because I Have Said So!”
As i sit here, at a computer in the library at uni, on a Saturday, having revised notes and done some readings. I couldn’t help but log into my website to perhaps write a post.
I have a story i want to tell. I haven’t told it publically ever, beyond a close knit couple of friends online who understand the Youtube scene, the grind involved in it. while it its another one of those rather bitter tales i want to get out of the way and not have to think about. but that since it happened, also has been one of those bonfires in me that just won’t go out, and that helped the decision when i started looking at what i wanted to do for studies and the rest of my life.
Before i even start the story, i will not use the persons name or gender, i will not give you the name if you ask me about this story, there is nothing online that links me to this person, as i have taken painstaking care to remove anything i could find online that could tie me to this person.
For two reasons. One, I know that this person feeds off any attention, good or bad they may recieve, and second, when the day comes that i pass said person in numbers like subscribers and average views and watch-time on youtube, i will not give this person any valid ground to stand on if they wish to claim they have helped me in any way, and if the person still does make that a thing, i will put the attempt and story to bed with the means i have available. Such as this post which will go through a lot of the stuff chronologically
There is an education be had with this post, and it is, no matter what or who you get into business with, always put your own business first. If there is a partnership and only one side benefits, It’s not a partnership.
In the spirit of transparency, and to give an idea why i’m enamoured with the idea of succeeding in the social media space. I’m telling this story.
