Just a minute ago I had one of my housemates come into my room. Smile strapped on his face as he showed me a meme he found on Instagram. It was relating to a wonderful character he has created since moving into the house a couple weeks back.
Very polite fellow, knocked on my door, came in, showed me his thing, and let me carry on with my reading. And as he left, I realized something I think is vital in a situation like the one I find myself in.
I love this house and my housemates. There is such a wonderful creative vibe, times we can be screaming laughing, playing games, filming videos, all the good fun activities you would want, but also the mutual respect that I can go to my room and read my book and be undisturbed for that and there is no problem involved in that. there is no demand that I have to do something or be somewhere in the house at all times. And that is a part of this cherish more than anything.
We live as a group but can still have that privacy. That helps tremendously on balancing out and making the hassle of the last 5 months worth it. And makes me greatly look forward to the next couple of years living with this clan of bandits we have managed to put together!
On a different note.
if you know me, you know that one of my biggest idols, is Petter Solberg. This guy is a legend. And so stupidly good at his craft of racing cars sideways, that today, he came third overall on the first stage of Rally GB.
“Third isn’t all that great” I hear you say. Who said he raced in the top class this weekend? He is in the support class WRC 2. Where the cars are lower on power and more cost friendly Than the top teams. Third overall. In his first rally for a year. That is a legend. And it’s made me so excited for the rest of the weekend! Can’t wait to see what he, and his Son Oliver, can do this weekend in terms of results!
