So as part of doing the DDPY program, Is that i should do part of the app relating to tracking my progress, which i can do in various ways, but one thats been adamantly recommended, is progress photos. For the first time in my life, i felt inclined to do so.

For many years, i could eat endless amounts of food, and nothing would happen regarding my weight or shape. But up until this year, it never did. all of a sudden though, what used to be pecs, were moobs, and the McDonalds had caught up to me and was resting neatly packed away on my hips and my rather slim waist had become a troublesome butt to stick into jeans that always fit otherwise.

And so, that figure in the mirror, i really do not like it, and to me, a way that i can keep myself accountable, is that i do take the pictures in the app, but also it feels like something i want to share. This is my start point. And i want to share that journey from top to bottom in an honest way, just like most anything else i’ve been posting so far.

So the graphic at the top of this post, thats my startpoint. I am not proud of it, but i am however proud of the work ive put into the app since i got it.

The first two weeks i was supposed to do something like 6 workouts, i however did 10. and got up to 5600 points in the app. which currently puts me actually at rank 1527 out of 44079 people on an active subscription. I want more, i want to get more points, and do more, its feels much more like a competition with myself and a smandering of others. I have also midway through this started wearing a heartrate monitor. And when i started using it, i spent 13% of my workout in a danger zone, in my last session i had, it was 1%. i started at 89 kg, and last i measured i was down to 85,3. from walking to and from university, but also from these workouts. They have been absolutely essential, and motivating to do. Im entering Week 3 of the program now, and i’m following and doing the best i can.

Like i tweeted DDP and told him, i couldn’t really finish his book, because i just jumped in and did it. And found that its a fantastic, simple, non strenuous way to get some excercise in my system absolutely anywhere!

Am i singing the praises for this too often? Hell no! its a fantastic program, and an excellent oppurtunity to learn and exceed the limits my body has, and burn these cheesburgers off while im at it.

Ill keep at it and write another progress report in a week. Lets see what i come up with! Hopefully in due time, ill be closer to an endpoint i can be proud of!

(Im also aware that the graphic ive used “posetively unstoppable challenge” eludes to something else, but i use it for my progress reports, as it eludes to the program and the goals i’ve set for myself anyway.”)

Sincerely Kornelius
