This is an interesting part of my stay in Winchester. One that I honestly didn’t foresee until I actually tried it. Im on my 4th day straight of doing the DDPY Program! I know what made me want to do it and I will explain.
As I keep rehashing I’ve been reading this book by pro wrestling hall of famer Diamond Dallas Page. About his life, how he came up with his program and now his livelihood out of desperation to save his wrestling career. And wouldn’t you know. It was really inspiring, I took a day as I closed in on the end of the book, and started learning the various poses in whats clued the Diamond Dozen.
It wasn’t a case of convincing myself, or thinking this would be a hassle. I flat out did it, just started. And then thought to myself, “Well I want to really try this. And just doing the poses to myself with no-one to follow what im doing, is not how ill go about this the right way, so I subscribed to the DDPY App. And ive been doing the Energy 2.0 Workout.
I LOVE IT!
I stand perfectly still, but because of how you move, breathe, and tense, Your body reacts accordingly and brings your pulse right up. Which is an incredible feeling. to think that so little, outside of traditional thinking, can do so much.
While I did discuss in a previous post how I felt sore and accomplished after my workout. These workouts, theres no soreness, theres no pain, the poses aren’t that intricate that you need to be a yogi to get into them. Its quickly become something where I think to myself that I want to do more, I want to do it 3 times a day, burn the fat right off and really go beyond the limits my body currently have. And all the while, I can do it wherever the hell I want, whenever the hell I want. And it blows my mind every time the workout ends, that i’ve had such a narrow perspective on exercise to this point in my life.
Ill Recommend it to anyone, because anyone can do it. And thats fantastic! heck I think the big item on my Wishlist this year for Christmas is a yoga mat. and that sounds just ridiculous when compared to jut a couple weeks ago. I can feel that its making a good and healthy difference to my body, and I don’t think I ever want to stop.
(Lowkey I want to try it with my dad when I get back for christmas, who I mentioned earlier has become a well oiled workout machine, just to see what he thinks and feels about it)
So yeah, Yoga. without the spiritual mumbojumbo and the namaste. Just a flat out solid workout. love it!
